Working Together for the Young Person
At WHTW Mentoring, We actively partner with schools to ensure mentoring support complements existing pastoral strategies, creating consistency, clarity, and stability for the young person

Why School Collaboration Matters?
Young people often present differently across environments. Without a joined-up approach, mixed messages and fragmented support can unintentionally slow progress.

By working closely with a school’s pastoral team, WHTW helps ensure:
-
Consistent emotional and behavioural support
-
Shared understanding of the young person’s needs
-
Clear, achievable goals across settings
-
Reduced confusion and increased emotional safety

Consistency is not just helpful—it is essential to growth.

How WHTW Collaborates with schools?
With consent from parents/carers, WHTW mentors can meet directly with the school’s pastoral team. These meetings allow us to build strong, professional relationships and develop a shared support plan around the mentee.

Collaboration may include:
-
Meetings with pastoral leads, SENCOs, or wellbeing teams
-
Discussing emotional, social, or behavioural needs
-
Identifying strengths, challenges, and key triggers
-
Agreeing on consistent strategies and language
-
Aligning mentoring goals with school support plans
-

This ensures the young person receives coherent, joined-up care rather than isolated interventions.
