Who do we support?
WHTW Mentoring supports young people who require guidance, encouragement, and personalised support. Our programmes are psychologically informed, drawing on evidence-based approaches from therapeutic psychology and practical experience in schools. We create safe, structured spaces where young people feel heard, understood, and empowered to develop key skills for life.
WHTW Mentoring can support young people with:

-
Low confidence and self-esteem issues
-
Emotional wellbeing and resilience
-
Communication skills and assertiveness
-
Conflict resolution and managing peer relationships
-
Behaviour management and positive decision-making
-
Building a sense of identity and self-awareness
-
Coping with stress, pressure, and transitions (e.g., moving to secondary school or adulthood)
-
Goal-setting, motivation, and personal development
Please note: WHTW Mentoring does not provide diagnosis or clinical intervention. Our support is psychologically informed, practical, and tailored to individual needs.
We work with students across different age groups, tailoring our approach to their stage of development and specific needs:

Ages 10–13 (Transition Years): Supporting students as they move into secondary school. Developing communication skills, conflict resolution, and emotional regulation. Building early confidence, resilience, and a positive sense of self helping students navigate friendships, peer pressure, and school changes

Ages 14–16: Supporting self-identity, self-esteem, and emotional wellbeing. Coping strategies for exam stress and academic pressures. Improving confidence, communication, and relationships. Encouraging positive behaviour and resilience in challenging situations

Ages 17–19 (Preparation for Adulthood): Developing independence, decision-making, and life skills. Strengthening self-awareness, confidence, and purpose. Supporting transitions to work, further education, or adult life. Building strategies for managing relationships, stress, and personal growth
Across all age groups, WHTW helps young people enhance their mental wellbeing, confidence, behaviour, communication, conflict resolution, and sense of self, equipping them with practical skills and emotional tools to navigate school, relationships, and life successfully.
